ASSJ in the Cell Games?

Wouldn't that give Vegeta and Trunks the upper hand against the Cell.Jrs? Wouldn't that help Goku and Gohan against Cell? If it increases speed as well, I see no reason for it not to be used.

Posts: 378 Group: Suspended Member #10,783 Joined: January 26, 2014 Gender Male Favourite Anime Dbz and many other show's What Browser do you use? i commute between many browser's Favourite Manga none	The reason is that ASSJ causes strain and it is not faster than SSJ1.The ASSJ is little bit slower than a normal SSJ/MSSJ.This is also the primary reason for Goku choosing the "original/normal" SSJ1 over ASSJ,to master/make best use of the capabilities/power of the SSJ1. Notice even in the manga/anime he doesn't decide to master the ASSJ form when clearly it provides more power.The reason is that as stated above,it produces a quit a bit of strain and it is a little bit slower than a SSJ1.Notice even in the manga/anime when goku finally achieves the ASSJ and USSJ he notes the "speed" disadvantage only. The fight goku vs cell and gohan vs cell clearly implies that the "SSJ1" speed "multiplier/adder" is little bit more than the ASSJ speed "multiplier/adder". ---example------ SSJ Speed(Multiplier/adder): (+10) ASSJ Speed(Multiplier/adder): (+8) A person's maximum speed will be determined by his , "base speed"(which can be increased by training) + "SSJX Multiplier/adder"(which will be constant for each transformation) or "Special power ups(Kaioken,mystic etc)

If they could have defeated Cell with that power-up, I think they might have tried but they knew their power would still have been weaker than Cell, so no point in trying it other than extra strain for them. ...for Vegeta & Trunks, I just think they didn't have the time to power-up. If you have speed advantage while in ASSJ then the battle will be similar vegeta vs semi perfect cell.What I am saying is that according to me the ASSJ speed "multiplier/adder' is little bit lower than a SSJ1 speed "multiplier/adder". Yes ASSJ is stronger than SSJ1/MSSJ but it has two limitations when compared to SSJ1/MSSJ 1.Strain 2.Not as fast as SSJ1/MSSJ And in a fight only raw strenght,power etc will not only determine the outcome of the battle.Clear example of this is Vegeta Vs perfect cell and trunks Vs perfect cell.They lost because they didn't have the speed needed to catch up with cell.The reason Goku choose the normal ssj over assj to master,is because the normal ssj had almost all the qualities needed to combat cell,i.e speed,proportional increase in strength,power,durability,endurance etc.The only drawback of ssj1 was the strain/energy drain while in the form.This drawback was negated by mastering the ssj1.In otherwords the SSJ1 is more balanced than ASSJ.That is the SSJ1 is "The Jack of all Trades and master of none".

He was never planning on beating Cell in the first place and by the time he might need it (such as the Cell Juniors) he was probably too weak to even get the form done. Now as for Trunks and Vegeta, nothing should've stopped them. They were just barely holding their own against the Cell Juniors, they should've just popped right into ASSJ (and Trunks had no problem popping into ASSJ against Semi-Cell) and just kicked the crap out of them in an instant. Wouldn't have done much against Cell but they could at least get some of the pressure of their back. ASSJ is faster than SSJ/MSSJ...Vegeta was making a mockery out of a Full Powered Semi-Cell who couldn't even keep up with Vegeta. And it was greatly implied that Semi-Cell was stronger than SSJ Vegeta. If ASSJ was only stronger, Cell would have at the very least been dodging the attacks. It certainly doesn't use up too much energy either when Vegeta can fight all the while in ASSJ without breaking a sweat, bust out a huge Final Flash and still have energy to keep attacking as well. The only thing that the ASSJ had less of was stamina and strain and that again was barely noticeable, certainly nothing like SSJ3 and mind you, if you could get the job with SSJ3, you would do that, you wouldn't keep fighting as an SSJ2 because if ASSJ/SSJ3 can't get the job done, how is an even weaker and slower form supposed to do it?

Internet Explorer Favourite Manga Dragon Ball Z	I personally don't think Vegeta and Trunks were in their Grade forms during the Cell Games, much like the above statement they're pretty useless at this point and I believe they would slow Trunks and Vegeta down. Personally, I believe Grade 2 and Grade 3 are only useful for a beam struggle since they're main use is for more power and that's only if they're given enough time to power up, but then again in the ROSAT Kakarrot was shown to power up to both Grade in a matter of seconds and a few more for Grade 3.
